Step 1 โ Problem Identification
Identify the problems (bottlenecks that management can address) and circumstances (external/internal situations that are difficult to influence). Be a 'layman' here โ describe what you observe, not yet what you think it is.
Symptoms / Problems
Which bottlenecks do you recognise in your organisation? Select all that apply.
Circumstances
Which external or internal circumstances are relevant? (Situations you can barely influence but that explain or worsen your problems)
Core Problem Selection
Step 2 โ Problem Analysis
Based on your symptoms, we recommend the most relevant tools from George's Contemporary Management toolbox. Select at least 4 tools that best fit your situation โ choose based on distinctiveness and complementarity.
Filter by POLC:

Step 3 โ Problem Definition
Translate the symptoms from Step 1 into concrete management issues using professional terminology. Then formulate a clear research question that bridges the diagnosis and the solution.
๐ก
Tip: Translate layman's language into management terms. E.g. "lots of errors and miscommunication" โ "Insufficient coordination mechanisms"
Management Issues
Research Question
The research question links the management issues and always starts with "How...". It is concrete, solution-oriented and unambiguous.
Step 4 โ Problem Solution
Based on your diagnosis, we present two solution packages: a light package (quick, easy to implement) and a heavy package (more thorough but requiring more time/investment). Both packages are tailored for pharma/medtech without a marketing department.

Step 5 โ Choice & Implementation
Choose the best solution package and define the implementation approach. As your consultant, I provide my recommendation based on the analysis.
